About Us
Welcome to TruSpec Engineering and Machine
At TruSpec Engineering & Machine, innovation begins with understanding how things are built. We blend professional engineering discipline with hands-on experience to design, analyze, and improve real systems — delivering work that performs in the field, not just on paper.
Who Are We
TruSpec is a professional engineering practice built by an engineer who values craftsmanship, clarity, and results. We combine licensed expertise with practical manufacturing experience to solve complex problems with new ideas and grounded engineering judgment.
Our Mission
To bring professional engineering capability and forward-thinking problem solving to clients who need practical, real-world results. Every project is guided by technical integrity, continuous improvement, and a respect for the people who build and maintain what we design.
What We Do
TruSpec helps manufacturers, innovators, and industrial teams turn ideas and challenges into working solutions. From design and documentation to process analysis and project coordination, we deliver innovative, actionable engineering that bridges vision and execution.
Founder’s Note
I started TruSpec Engineering & Machine to bridge two worlds I’ve spent my life in:
the rigor of professional engineering and the creativity of building things by hand. Over the years I’ve led
manufacturing, automation, and reliability projects from concept through production—always guided by a simple rule:
good engineering must work as well on the floor as it does on paper.
TruSpec exists for clients who value clear thinking, honest communication, and results that last. Whether solving a
stubborn production issue, documenting an existing system for safety and maintainability, or turning an idea into a
manufacturable design, my approach stays the same: understand the problem, respect the details, and deliver
practical, measurable outcomes. Innovation here isn’t novelty—it’s applied insight that makes the work better.
About the Founder
Nick Cornilsen, PE, is a licensed Mechanical Engineer and the founder of TruSpec Engineering & Machine.
His background spans process improvement, equipment design, plant consolidations, and maintenance reliability—supported by hands-on experience in machining, fabrication, and real-world troubleshooting. Nick partners comfortably with controls and automation teams, acting as a technical liaison to align mechanical intent with sequences of operation and vendor deliverables.
